Treasurer’s report on Air Faire given by Cheryl

Old Business: Roger Smith gave a report on the Ontario Air Faire proceedings. He emphasized the need for more people to raise funds from local businesses. The Air Faire was a great success with some areas that can be improved: communications, additional entertainment acts, need for two shifts of volunteer workers, more accessible donation buckets, enlisting more volunteers from church and club groups. Motion made and passed to provide $500.00 to Merle Maine to pay for some of the fuel costs incurred by visiting Warbirds.

A letter from national EAA said a $10.00 check sent to our chapter has not been cashed. Kevin Hoirup made a motion that the $10.00 be a donation to National. Motion passed.

Young Eagles: Kevin Hoirup reported that 75 kids were flown by 1 pm Oct. 27th . Kevin requested that more pilots/planes participate in these events.

Pete Morgan reported that there are no more hangars available at the McCall Airport. Payette is celebrating Airport Day on October 30, 2004.

Alan Daniels, Ontario Airport Manager, said that $350,000 plus grants are available to finish the work at the airport. Work is to be done on run-up area and taxiways. A new beacon is needed. New taxiway and runway lights are being considered. He stated that the weight limit on the runway is 50,000 lbs. Restrooms are under study.
