August Potluck: Our August meeting this month will be on Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at Alan and Linda Daniels' Home

Congratulations, Ken Simmons! Ken won 2nd place at Oshkosh on the Web page he designed and kept up for the Chapter. We hear he received a beautiful plaque for his efforts. Our website is well worth checking out and it is something our club can really be proud of! www.eaa837.org.

August Potluck: Our meeting this month is Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at Alan & Linda Daniels' home. We will have a potluck & barbeque. Hamburgers, buns, condiments, ice tea, & lemonade will be furnished, along with table settings. Please bring whatever else to fill in. We never go hungry at these events! To get to Alan & Linda's, turn off the freeway on Stanton Blvd., turn left & go across the freeway for ½ mile, turn left on Community Road (only direction Community goes), go ½ mile, turn right into the driveway just past the trailer house on the right. Our house is about ¼ mile off the main road. If you have any questions, just call us at above phone number.

Fly-Out: According to the Wednesday, August 13, 2003, Argus: The Payette Airport Committee, local pilots and the Ontario Chapter 837 of the Experimental Aircraft Association will conduct a Young Eagles flight program for young people Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon. Youth between the ages of 8 and 17 are invited to participate. To date, the Young Eagles Program has flown 950,278 young people, of which the local chapter has flown 1, 209. Those in other age brackets who are interested in a ride should feel free to ask a pilot.
