Minutes from the January Meeting:
Meeting called to order by Pres. Ken Simmons
Guests: Helene Kyle, J. Border & Frank Thompson
Minutes of the November meeting were read and approved.
Treasurer’s report was omitted as Dale & Cheryl Cruson were in Washington D.C. with daughter
Karen to attend the presidential inauguration January 20th.
Old Business: Roger Smith gave a report on 2004 Air Faire which was considered a great success.
Events such as Warbirds, static displays, fly-bys by Air Guard A-10’s, visiting AD Skyraider, Army Guard
Apache and others were well received. We should expect larger crowds in 2005. Additional events and
entertainment are to be expected, including aerobatic displays.
Motion was made by Kevin Hoirup and seconded by Roger Smith that the chapter put on Air Faires 2005. Motion carried.
The date of the AirFaire 2005 was set as September 24th .
Kevin Hoirup expressed thanks from the chapter to Roger Smith for his great job in putting on the Air Faire, 2004.
Roger accepted leadership of the Air Faire, 2005, with Kevin Hoirup as Co-Chairman.
Motion was made and passed to keep Cheryl Cruson as Treasurer and Dale Cruson Secretary.
New Business: Young Eagles: Kevin Hoirup still wants a big Young Eagles event in late May,
however Weiser Airport may be under repair.
Annual Banquet: The date for the annual banquet is February 12th as in the Newsletter.
Funds for dues, dinner tickets, EAA calendars and raffle tickets will be accepted at the banquet.

Program: Dick Kyle made a presentation on wing design, airfoil selection and wing rib construction
for his aircraft design: the Kyle 200.

Banquet: Nat Adams was our speaker. He gave a very interesting talk about his experiences
flying in the Navy in 1942. We had several great prizes and happy winners! The food was delicious &
the visiting was great!
DUES: We are still collecting dues if you have not paid yet. - $25.00 for the year.
