Minutes from the Last Meeting:
Meeting called to order by Pres. Steve Conant

Guest Ralph Young from Emmett was introduced.

Minutes of the October meeting were read and approved as corrected. The third sentence of the last paragraph now reads: As of September 1, 2004, private pilots may fly sport planes with a driver’s license as a medical.

No Treasurer’s report

Alan Daniels made a motion to elect all officers and board members as nominated. Motion was seconded by Dick Strawn. Motion carried.

New Business: Christmas potluck will be held Sunday, December 12, 2004, at 1:00 pm at the clubhouse. Annual Banquet is to be held February 19, 2005, at the Four Rivers Cultural Center, Ontario. Members were asked for help in decorations, door prizes and suggested speakers.

YOUNG EAGLES: Kevin Hoirup, new owner of a Piper Colt, announced that a big Young Eagles event will be held in May, 2005, at the Weiser Airport. He also provided copies of a pamphlet that spelled out EAA guidelines, qualifications, and insurance requirements.

Program: Alan Daniels gave an interesting account of his bush flying trip around Alaska. He told of magnificent scenery including volcanoes and glaciers, flying practices were told including landing on riverbanks and unusual maintenance practices. The fishing stories led to experiences with bears.

February’s Banquet: Steve Conant has our banquet set up at the Four Rivers Cultural Center with Matsy’s catering on February 12, 2005. We still need a speaker, please bring ideas to the meeting. Leigh Simmons, Cheryl Cruson, & Linda Daniels will work on decorations. We have a model airplane donated by Jack Ogilvie for a possible raffle. Bring in any other ideas you would like to see.

DUES: Dues are now due - still only $25.00 for the year.

Board Meeting: At our board meeting we started discussing who all had airplanes in our club. This is the list we came up with. Let us know if we have left anyone out.
